More Salt for Angelina?

Salt is allegedly getting ready for a sequel.
The rumor is that Columbia is getting all geared up to get the sequel rolling and that Angelina has final say on whether or not the script is to her liking.
Well of course she does, without Angelina, there will be no Salt 2.
Just like without Angelina, there is no Wanted 2.
Which is kinda funny.
Salt raked in $295,713,467 gross (so far) while Wanted pulled in $341,433,252 gross.
Yet Salt is the sequel that Angelina is interested in.
Was Salt that much of a better story?

Rotten Tomatoes gave Salt a 62% and says...
" Angelina Jolie gives it her all in the title role, and her seasoned performance is almost enough to save Salt from its predictable and ludicrous plot."
Rotten Tomatoes gives Wanted a 72% and says...
"Wanted is a fast-paced, crackling thrill ride tailor-made for the Summer audience."

As far as the fans go, Angelina won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Action Star and Angelina and Wanted were nominated for the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance, the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, the MTV Movie Award for Best WTF Moment, the National Movie Award for Best Performance – Female and the People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Movie Star
She and Salt in contrast only got nominated for the People's Choice Award for Favorite Action Star, the People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Movie Star and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer Movie Star – Female.

Does Angelina think that Salt is a better bet for a franchise?
Are we looking at Salt 2, 3, 4 etc?

Only time will tell, because we all know she could pull out of a Salt remake at the drop of the proverbial hat.

Angelina Jolie Has Had Worse Than The Tourist

Well the Angelina Jolie / Johnny Depp film "The Tourist" opened to less than stellar reviews back in December.
But that's not the only film that Angelina has done that didn't do well.

To quote the Black Knight, "I've had worse."

Remember...

Playing God (1997)
It starred Angelina, David Duchovny, Timothy Hutton and the awesome Peter Stormare.
Playing God was made for $12,000,000 and grossed $4,166,918.

Hell's Kitchen (1998)
It starred Angelina, Rosanna Arquette, William Forsythe, Mekhi Phifer, and Johnny Whitworth.
The film was made for $6,000,000 and grossed $9,122.
Wow.

Playing by Heart (1998)
Besides Angelina, this movie had more stars than you could shake a stick at like Jon Stewart, Sean Connery, Ryan Phillippe, Dennis Quaid and Gillian Anderson.
And even though Angelina won an award for "Best Breakthrough Performance by an Actress" from the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures, the film still flopped.

Pushing Tin (1999)
Another film that the cast sounds interesting, Angelina, John Cusack, Billy Bob Thornton and Cate Blanchett, but the film went nowhere.

Beyond Borders (2003)
Although Angelina put a lot of herself in this film promoting humanitarian relief, it too was a critical and financial disaster.
For her efforts here, Angelina was nominated for the Razzie Award for Worst Actress.
She lost to Jennifer Lopez for Gigli.

Life or Something Like It (2002)
Angelina was nominated for a Razzie again for Life or Something Like It.
It was made for 40 million and grossed 17 million.

"Yeah, I guess The Tourist wasn't that bad after all..."
